The ZOO

Dane, Pierce, and I went to the Zoo last weekend. It looks cold, but it really wasn't that bad. The big cats were loving it and were active. There was a very acitve wolf as well. Dane and Pierce enjoyed the monkeys and apes...they were funny. One ape kept picking his nose and eating it....I should have gotten a picture! Some animals were not out (like elephants, rhinos, and some savannah animals, but all in all it was pretty fun!

Ice cream Lovers

Like mother, like son. We Turleys love icecream. I thought this was so cute. Dane was trying so hard to scoop out the icecream and he was only getting tiny bites. He worked so hard at getting it out I just couldn't deny him the rest of the carton. So we just finished it off!

A day with the cousins

Last weekend we went to the museum of ancient life with the cousins. (Some of my cousins' kids). It was a fun day and we got some great pics because the museum is very interactive.

My new nephew!

A few days ago my sister, April, and her husband, David, welcomed a new baby boy....Andrew David Johnson. I'm so excited for them and he is just so cute. I wish I could have been there with all the rest of my family to welcome him in the world, but I, being the odd one way out west, knew that wouldn't happen. I will just have to settle for more cute pictures....so hurry up Y'all and send some more! Congratulations guys!

Kathy (Ike's mom) came in on Sunday to await the arrival of the newest grandchild and we went to Temple Square to see the lights. I have never been and it was so pretty. There was also a nativity with commentary from the President Hinckley. We took some great pics, so here they are.

New Do..

Since I am celebrating a new decade of life in a week and a half, I decided for new hair do too! I had the stylist straighten it for me (since I am not very good at it) and I will try a curly style tomorrow. I have never had a true "bob" style, so I thought I'd go for it! Hey...you only turn 30 once, right?
